Energy and Elections

This week we began working on kinetic and potential energy. We did a great activity with a bouncy ball to see the kinetic and potential energy. We graphed our results when we were done. This week is also student lighthouse officer elections. I love all the campaign posters. 

Week 2: saving Fred

This week has flown by. We conducted out first science experiment, Saving Fred. The students went through the scientific method steps to try and save Fred. They had the following materials: Fred ( gummy worm), life jacket ( gummy saver), boat (cup), and tools (4 toothpicks). They could not use their hands to save Fred. They did a great job 

Week 1

The school year is underway and we are settling into a great routine. I am looking forward to seeing the progress from the students. Today, we had two special guests who talked to the classes about goals and working hard to achieve them. They were Trevor Lacey and Levi Randolph. I hope what they said will inspire our kids to work hard for their goals. The sky is the limit.
